The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) is proud to announce that its 2024–25 Annual Report, Impact in Action, has been honored with a prestigious national Award of Merit in the National School Public Relations Association’s (NSPRA) 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence awards.
The annual contest recognizes outstanding tactical materials—including publications, newsletters, videos, podcasts, and websites—from education organizations across the United States.
In honor of the achievement, BCOE and all other Publication and Digital Media Award program winners will be recognized during the Annual Meeting and Celebration of Achievement in July in New Orleans, LA.
Impact in Action
The award-winning 2024–25 report was designed to give the Butte County community a narrative-focused, engaging look at how BCOE supports students, educators, and schools across the county and, in some cases, the state of California. The project was written, designed, and produced in-house.
“Our goal with Impact in Action was to connect with our audiences and help them understand the incredible effort and dedication behind the scenes of public education in Butte County,” said BCOE Director of Communications Travis Souders, who created the report. “It’s a great honor to have our work seen and recognized on a national scale by our peers, and it drives us to keep finding meaningful ways to share BCOE’s mission.”
About the NSPRA Awards
NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding education publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, radio/TV/video programs, social media, infographics, blogs and websites.
Honors are awarded according to publication or digital media type, and organization type and size. Entries are judged on their overall excellence as well as quality as compared to other entries in the category. The top award in each category is the Award of Excellence. Awards of Merit and Honorable Mentions are also given in each category.
NSPRA uses experienced, award-winning professionals to evaluate entries. Judges have no pre-set limit on the number of awards that may be given in each category. They may also opt to issue no awards in a category if no entries are deemed worthy of recognition.
